| [Objective] To clarify the precise positioning of Yingu(KI10) and Ququan(LR08). [Methods] Through checking the relevant ancient books， teaching materials， works and literature， comparing and analyzing the meanings of the Keywords “internal knee auxiliary bone” “large tendon” “small tendon” “below” and “above” in the ancient texts， the rationality of various positioning was verified from the regularity of meridian circulation， local anatomical characteristics and clinical practice. [Results] Different from modern documents， the records of the positions of the two acupoints were relatively uniform in different ancient books and documents. “Internal knee auxiliary bone” referred to the medial epicondyle of the femur and the medial condyle of the tibia， “large tendon” and “small tendon” referred to the semitendinosus and semimembranosus muscles respectively. And “below” and “above” referred to the outside and inside respectively. When Yingu(KI10) was located “in the posterior region of the knee， on the transverse crease of the popliteus， at the lateral border of the semitendinosus tendon”， and Ququan(LR08) was located “at the knee， at the medial end of the transverse crease of the popliteus， and in the depression of the inner border of the semitendinosus”， both locations were simultaneously in line with the classics， the rules of meridian circulation， local anatomical characteristics and clinical application. And there was no contradiction between each other. [Conclusion] The locations of Yingu(KI10) and Ququan(LR08) mentioned above are more reasonable and more conducive to guide clinical application than other locations. |
