| [Objective] To obtain more comprehensive understanding of "Liufu" of specific points of pediatric massage and guide the clinical application correctly through the study of relevant literatures. [Methods]Through sorting out the relevant classic ancient books and modern literatures of pediatric massage, the location, operation, efficacy, compatibility, modern clinical application and mechanism of Liufu were analyzed in detail to in-depth understanding of the acupoint. [Results]The ancient records show that the location and operation of Liufu are controversial, it is generally accepted that this acupoint is cold, which has the function of defervescing and purging, is often used in combination with Sanguan in treatment of diseases which are mixed with deficiency and excess, cold and heat.Modern doctors think it has the effect of clearing viscera, purging heat and detoxifying, and it can be used in the treatment of children’s multi-system diseases, especially the diseases of lung, spleen and stomach, with remarkable effect.However, there are few studies on the mechanism of action, and the antipyretic mechanism may be related to nerve feedback regulation, immune regulation and so on, but the mechanism of clearing viscera and detoxifying has not been studied before. [Conclusion]Liufu with a remarkable function of defervescing and purging, has been widely used in multiple pediatric diseases from ancient times to present, and is well recognized by doctors. Fully understanding the acupoint and correct guiding the operation with syndrome differentiation, is helpful to obtain the best clinical efficacy. |
