| [Objective] To explore the research status of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in the diagnosis and treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH) in China in the past 40 years by using the method of knowledge graph with preliminary analysis. [Methods] Taking BPH as the research topic， the literatures of China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) and Wanfang database from January 1980 to March 2021 were searched， and the published years， authors and Keywords were visually analyzed by using CiteSpace and VOSviewer software through the methods of author cooperative network， keyword co-occurrence， keyword clustering and so on. [Results] A total of 1 276 Chinese literatures were included， and the annual volume of articles showed a fluctuating upward trend. The core authors had formed some stable research teams， but the cooperation between the teams was not close. Keyword analysis showed that lots of researches had been carried out on the etiology and pathogenesis， treatment principles， drug efficacy， drug mechanism， integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment， acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of BPH with TCM， in which the clinical curative effect of TCM had been mainly evaluated. [Conclusion] This study directly showed the general situation of BPH-related researches in the field of TCM for more than 40 years by knowledge graph， and provided some recommendations for further studies on prevention and treatment of BPH with TCM. |
