| [Objective] To summarize the research status， hot spots frontier and predict the development trend of vascular dementia. [Methods] China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) was used to search the literature of vascular dementia， from January 1， 2016 to June 8， 2021. CiteSpace 5.7.R5W software was used to visually analyze the research authors， research institutions and Keywords. [Results] After screening， a total of 2 191 literatures were selected. The author cooperation network analysis revealed the most prolific in this research field and showed a stable core team had been formed. The analysis of issuing institutions showed that universities of Chinese medicine， especially Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine， were important institutions of vascular dementia， with poor cooperation among them. The keywords analysis showed that the research on vascular dementia mainly focused on the integration of Chinese medicine and western medicine and Chinese medicine treatment， memantine， butylphthalide， Ginkgo biloba preparation， cognitive function， clinical research， apoptosis， oxidative stress and other related fields. [Conclusion] Clinical research and research of intervention through Chinese medicine and western medicine and research of mechanism were the focus of current research on vascular dementia. In the future， pathogenesis research and effective treatment strategy research will be the development trend of vascular dementia research. |
